Our Roster

Caroline Gilmour Agent / Manager / Creative Liaison Caroline’s story-telling began to take shape while building rock houses and play-acting on the beach in Nova Scotia, and cutting her brothers’ comic books into paper dolls to give voices to. Her means of expression expanded, at 9yrs, when she was enrolled in a summer children’s theatre program, which provided an opportunity to collaborate with others to create stories and act them out on stage. Caroline advanced to leading this program, before going on to study theatre at university. Having earned a B.A. (Theatre) and B.A.h. (English) from Acadia University, and developed an affinity for working with people and leading production crews, Caroline next adventured to Vancouver, where she actively pursued a position that would allow her to work with actors and production teams to collaborate on story-telling. Within months of her arrival, she was invited to assist Gail Murphy, the agent who ran the Commercial, Voice, Print and Industrial divisions at The Characters Talent Agency. In 2003, Caroline decided to expand her knowledge and experience with a M.A. (Drama) from the University of Toronto, and soon after began work as a Voice Agent in the Toronto market. When Gail retired in 2007, Caroline was invited to return to Vancouver and The Characters Talent Agency, where she has since enjoyed developing one of the leading voice talent pools in Canada.Though her professional career spans 20+ years, many would agree that Caroline Gilmour has been contributing to the creative space, bringing stories to life, for many more.

Roster Talks

Characters' Voice Roster Talks is an initiative to encourage community at a time when a great deal of voice casting is done by mp3/self-tape, and actors do not bump into each other as often at auditions. It is a chance for those who have been doing this for a long time to soak up the energy of those who are getting started… and an opportunity for those who are getting started to connect with each other and with this industry that's at once all around them and outside of their grasp.

The Talks encourage thought and discussion about the Big Picture in this industry. The Talks are a chance for Caroline and Annie to see, hear, and connect with you. The Talks aim to Educate, Motivate and Stimulate.
